Well, it's that wonderful time of year that makes working in a cinema complex so enjoyable - school holidays. That period of two weeks where our business becomes the default babysitter for parents with no better ideas for their kids. Like today, there were about 7 or 8 children in Catwoman. There is no way in hell you can tell me that that is an appropriate movie for kids. And anyways, it looks like absolute crap. Actually, perhaps the children will have enjoyed it more than adults who go to it. Wow, my english is getting much gooder right at the now. Oops...
The thing that really amazes me when the school holidays roll around is the number of cellphones these children have. When you check on a cinema at start up, there is this sea of blue and green screens, all these horrible little shits texting their friends. What is it with kids today, that they can't go more than 5 minutes without some form of communication with their peers? It's the same with the younger staff at work. They all take every available opportunity to check their phones, to arrange thier evenings, or to catch up on gossip. Although it's not just the younger folk - the manager where I work is twenty seven, and he is always farting about with his phone. Oh dear, I have been trying to keep this as impersonal as possible, and I would say that that little comment could get me in trouble if my boss ever read this. Not that he ever would. I'm not about to tell anyone around here about this blog.
Bernard is watching me. Cats are strange animals. Oh, for the freedom that type of existence must give. Imagine how cool it would be to spendyour whole day farting about, doing bugger all, at whatever pace you felt like, with no commitments or time constraints. Oh, for the life of a domestic pet...
