Well, things are going reasonably well. I have finished my first week at work in my new job - it's pretty cool - more interesting than projection, but not too stressful... There's a lot to learn, but it's all fairly common sense stuff, so I'm not having much trouble so far getting the hang of things.
I've found a flat - a fairly good location - about 10 minutes from work, and about 5 minutes from the Boarding House where my sister is. I find it strange that things are falling so easily into place. It doesn't feel quite right, like at any moment something horrlbe will happen to remind me that life is basically crap. Except that it doesn't feel that way down here. I don't know what it is about this place, but I feel sorta up, and optimistic about things pretty much all the time. It's so much better than being depressed about pointless shit half the time...
What else? Well, nothing really... I'll be moving into my new place on Wednesday, and it'll be so farping good to stop all this messing about and just relax. The flat is above a shop, which is something I have always wanted, and has quite a nice interior - the kitchen and bathroom are reasonably new, and it has a washing machine and a heat pump...
Oh yeah, I went to church this morning with my sister. It was interesting. I had the usual swelling of emotion that church always produces in me, which is slightly embarassing, but never mind... The only thing I really don't like about this church is their attitude about women and marriage. They seem to be really into the shitty fifties attitude of Man go work, make money, Woman stay home, cook, make babies, support Man... I just can't get behind that. I can't see why women are in any way different in the eyes of the Lord than men. Women shouldn't be seen as just support for a man. That is just wrong. I can't even explain what I mean, really. It seems so fundamentally obvious that that attitude is wrong, it's hard to articulate a base level of....... Sorry, I fell asleep... bugger that nonsense, we'll get this shit tidied up no matter how hard it is.
